There is an answer

You prayed but the challenges kept coming.

You could not see the possibilities of tomorrow.

You broke down and reached the bottom.

You regained some strength, rose up, and tried the daily one foot in front of the other.

Then another hardship hits and everything turned into darkness.

Then you heard a song

Prayer is a key to heaven,

But faith unlocks the door,

Words are so easily spoken

Prayer without faith

Is like a boat without an oar

Everything makes sense again

You realize that in the midst of all your troubles, you need to have more faith.

You know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel

You will overcome this storm again.

This shall pass, have faith.

If you feel like giving up because the problems are insurmountable,

If you are lost and afraid,

If you don’t see a way out,

Learn to face the daily challenges with faith and hope.

Regardless of your belief, just sing that song.

It has brought me peace in my ongoing chaos.

Deep inside, I know things will be better for both you and I.

Just have faith, and know there is an answer…

  1. So beautifully written! It’s so nice to know that there’s comfort in having positivity in life to get through tough times.

  2. Thanks for the post! I really needed to read this today. I have been hitting rock bottom recently because of uncertainty, questioning about where I belong, and money problems. I am trying to positive but I am surrounded by negativity all around.

    • In those moments, Amy, our faith is tested, but knowing that there is always light at the end of the tunnel helps.

  3. I needed to hear this because I’ve been going through a really stressful period in my life. Thank you for a beautiful sentiment!

  4. What a wonderful song and such a great reminder! Life it ain’t all sunshine and rainbows but you always have faith that there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

  5. Thank you for this post. I found comfort in those words. This year has seen my family getting sick from various illnesses. In the first 11 weeks of 2018, 4 of my family members were confined to 4 different hospitals – my mom, my sister, my niece, my husband! Up to this day, there is still one or two members falling ill. I am so stressed out. I know, holding on to my faith is my only source of strength right now. And yes. This too shall pass.

  6. Indeed, things will get better. We sleep, we wake up and harvest God’s fresh grace. Faith really matters, no matter what others might say. Been through so much emotional turmoil and mental torment which continued for many years. Thank God for deliverance. 😀

  7. This is a really well-written piece. We all go through tough times at different stages of our lives and for some religion can help get them through.
