It was my niece Bella’s 13th birthday. For her dinner, she wanted me to make potato casserole. I usually make my potato casserole my way and the result is a warm and delicious dish that brings joy to the table. My niece had enjoyed every bit and I decided to share it with you. Here is how I made my delicious potato casserole.
Potato Casserole
Ingredients
6 large potatoes
6 slices of bacon
Sour cream
½ cup of mayonnaise
½ cup of milk
½ cup cream
½ cup sour cream
½ stick unsalted butter
1 ½ cup cheddar cheese
1 cup of parmesan cheese
Green onions
Salt, pepper, cayenne pepper
garlic powder
mustard powder
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lay the bacon in a cooling rack on a baking sheet
Cook for 15 minutes. Remove them from the oven and place them on a plate. Once they are cool, crumble into small pieces and set them aside.
Step 2
Peel the potatoes and cut them into ½ inch cubes. Place them in a pot of water with a pinch of salt, boil until tender for about 20 to 25 minutes.
Step 3
To the mixer, add the milk, cream, mayonnaise, sour cream, melted butter, Parmesan cheese, half of the cheddar cheese garlic, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and mustard powder. Mix well.
Drain the potatoes, leave about 3 spoons aside and add the rest to the mixture, and continue to mix until it is smooth.
Then add the green onion, the bacon, and the 3 spoons of potatoes. Give a quick mix.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Grease a baking dish with butter. Then spoon the potato mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle the rest of the cheddar cheese and butter pieces over the top.
Bake for about 20 minutes.
I hope you will give my recipe a try and if you have made it differently share it with me.
