November 2025 Recap: A Soft Landing into Gratitude

November felt like a gentle exhale, one of those months that invites you to slow down and notice the sweetness tucked between the chaos, and boy, I have a lot in my life lately.

I opened the month by celebrating my younger daughter, Yanah, with a lovely little tea party.  Where did time go? How can she be 20?

She wanted something intimate, so her tea party was her, her boyfriend, grandma, her cousin, me, and a table filled with treats and giggles. Moments like that remind me how quickly time moves and how important it is to make space for joy.

I also stepped into a room of leaders at the ACHE Western Florida Chapter, State of the Chapter event, where conversations flowed about Florida’s rapid growth, the challenges shaping healthcare today, and how policy and innovation are rising to meet the demand. It was inspiring, grounding, and a reminder of why I care so deeply about the work we do.

Then came an evening wrapped in beauty, a Yelp event at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota, where the sunset painted the sky in gold, and the small bites were just as unforgettable as the view, a simple moment, but one that felt special.

I also found myself wrapped in the comfort of friendship this month, celebrating Friendsgiving with two women who have become such anchors in my life, Marie and Cindy. Each gathering had its own flavor of laughter, stories, and the kind of easy love that only friendship can bring. Sitting around their tables reminded me how nourishing it is to be surrounded by people who pour into you, celebrate you, and remind you that you’re never walking alone.

I walked for a cause that matters on Thanksgiving morning, grateful for the ability to show up, to move, to support something bigger than myself.

And of course, Thanksgiving brought me home to family, to warmth, to the loud laughter and quiet gratitude that always come with gathering around a table.

On the last Saturday of the month, I took a road trip to Miami with my older daughter and my sister to attend a concert. The music, the energy, and the company were all that I needed.  It was the kind of night that reminds you that life still has room for magic, even in the middle of uncertainty.

Despite the challenges, the uncertainty that still lingers around my future, and the personal storms I continue to weather, November reminded me to be thankful. For the blessings I see and the ones I don’t, for the joy and the lessons, for the big moments and the tiny ones that whisper, “keep going.”

It was a month of grace. A month of gratitude. A month that filled my heart in the softest ways.
