Last Sunday, I promised that I would share how I made my pecan pie for Thanksgiving dinner.  It is a simple, delicious, and we tend to enjoy pecan pie during the whole holiday season in my house.

Marjie’s Pecan Pie

Homemade Pecan Pie

1 Pre-made pie crust

1 ½ cups of Chopped Pecans

3 Eggs

½ cup Brown Sugar

½ cup of Granulated Sugar

1 cup of Light Corn Syrup

1/3 cup of Unsalted Butter, melted

1 1/2 Tbsp of Corn Starch

1 Tsp of Vanilla Extract

1 tsp cinnamon powder

½ tsp nutmeg

1/8 tsp ginger powder

1 tsp of Salt

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Place your pie dish on top of a large baking sheet and set aside.

Scatter the pecans in the bottom of your pie crust.

In a large bowl, whisk together all the remaining ingredients and pour the batter over the chopped pecans.

Cover the pie gently with some foil and bake it for 30 minutes.

Uncover and bake for another 20 to 35 minutes or until it’s no longer jiggly in the center.

Allow it to cool completely before serving.

Enjoy and if you are like me, you will have it with a scoop of delicious vanilla ice-cream.

  1. Your pecan pie is perfect! I wish I had more success in making pies. Your recipe looks really easy to follow. I think I will have success making this one!

  2. This is such a great recipe! I have made sugar-free one this year and shared it on the blog as well. I think it’s such a great idea to share the recipe so more people can start baking!

  3. Pecan pie is one of my favorites! None of my family members enjoy pie, so I’ll just have to make this one for myself <3

  4. This looks so yummy! I’ve never made my own pecan pie before but I should probably give it a try . . . it’s my hubby’s favorite flavor!

  5. I am a huge fan of pecan pie! This looks like it would taste so awesome. I have never made one myself – always store bought.

  6. This pecan pie looks really yummy. I have some pecans that I need to make to pie. Love your recipe and it’s pretty simple too. Thank you for sharing.
