Last Sunday, I promised that I would share how I made my pecan pie for Thanksgiving dinner. It is a simple, delicious, and we tend to enjoy pecan pie during the whole holiday season in my house.
Marjie’s Pecan Pie

Ingredients
1 Pre-made pie crust
1 ½ cups of Chopped Pecans
3 Eggs
½ cup Brown Sugar
½ cup of Granulated Sugar
1 cup of Light Corn Syrup
1/3 cup of Unsalted Butter, melted
1 1/2 Tbsp of Corn Starch
1 Tsp of Vanilla Extract
1 tsp cinnamon powder
½ tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp of Salt
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Place your pie dish on top of a large baking sheet and set aside.
Scatter the pecans in the bottom of your pie crust.
In a large bowl, whisk together all the remaining ingredients and pour the batter over the chopped pecans.
Cover the pie gently with some foil and bake it for 30 minutes.
Uncover and bake for another 20 to 35 minutes or until it’s no longer jiggly in the center.
Allow it to cool completely before serving.
Enjoy and if you are like me, you will have it with a scoop of delicious vanilla ice-cream.
I’m not necessarily culinarily inclined, but this looks simple enough I might be able pull it off! Thanks for the inspiration!
