I stepped into March with hope in my heart, even as I quietly ignored the signals my body was trying to send me. But life has a way of teaching us through experience, and when I finally allowed reality to settle in, I realized something powerful: I had grown stronger.
Strength isn’t built in comfort, it’s built in awareness, in acceptance, and in the decision to keep moving forward. One thing I know for sure: no step back can stop a woman determined to rise.
Even in moments of discomfort, I made a conscious choice to hold on to the beauty around me. March may not have been easy, but it was still meaningful, still full, still mine to embrace.

I celebrated my salsera friend, B’s 50th birthday at The Melting Pot, an evening filled with laughter, connection, and joy. It was such a unique dining experience, preparing our own meals and ending the night with melted chocolate.
I found my way back to one of my favorite simple pleasures: reading. I returned to my monthly book club, something that grounds and fulfills me in the quietest, most beautiful way.
I attended my cousin’s wedding and danced the night away, soaking in love, music, and the magic of togetherness. It was so special reconnecting with family I hadn’t seen in a while, and this time, we promised to stay in touch.
I attended the live stream of Tonight’s Conversation with my two best friends, women I now call sisters. We laugh, dance, and share in the bond of navigating life after divorce, while learning to embrace the slower, more intentional rhythm of being empty nesters.

I also celebrated my dear friend Robie at Tallo’s Restaurant, a space that felt just as special as the occasion itself. The ambiance, especially the light fixtures brought me so much joy. There’s something about beautiful lighting that always speaks to my soul.
Lastly, I attended my neighborhood’s monthly wine club, which had a French-themed party. You know I was in my element. I dressed like a true Parisian, sipped wine, connected with friends, laughed, and simply enjoyed the moment. Exactly what my soul needed.
No matter how uncomfortable parts of March felt, I refused to let pain overshadow the beauty of living. I chose to be present, to celebrate, and to cherish the people who truly matter to me. At the end of the day, life is still beautiful, and I am still moving forward.
Love always, Marjie
