October came and went, filled with beautiful moments, meaningful experiences, and a few life lessons along the way. From celebrating my firstborn’s special day to traveling to New Jersey for an amazing health fair with my work team, it was a month to remember. The health fair was a wonderful opportunity to educate staff and raise awareness about health, and highlight what we do as a team. It was also a reminder that caring for others begins with caring for ourselves.

Somewhere in between the travel and busy days, life decided to slow me down with a health scare. This reminded me of the importance of balance, self-care, and listening to my body. It was one of those gentle nudges to pause, reflect, and realign.
Amid it all, I also started my final class toward my Master’s in Nursing Leadership and Administration, a milestone that fills me with both excitement and gratitude. The journey has been challenging, but each step brings me closer to fulfilling a dream I’ve worked hard for.
Of course, I made sure to squeeze in a little salsa to dance away life’s stresses (because movement really does heal). There were hiccups, yes, but I’m choosing to focus on the good, the joy, the growth, and the grace found in every moment.
Here’s to a smoother, more balanced November filled with gratitude, health, and hope.
