Navigating single life has taught me how to slow down and truly savor peaceful moments. Life feels different now, quieter in a way that’s both unfamiliar and beautiful.
My younger daughter is living her adult life. Although she still lives with me, she has her own rhythm, school, work, and a personal life that continues to grow. Watching her take her first steps into independence has gently shifted my own pace.
This season has invited me to slow down and allow myself to be still.
Sundays now hold a new meaning. They’ve become my time to recharge and reset, no rushing, no obligations, just presence. I started the morning with a book and a warm cup of coffee, easing into the day slowly and intentionally. By midday, I either attend church to refill my soul or stay home, enjoying the moment and simply being still, thankful for everything.
Later in the afternoon, dinner becomes a moment. I choose a menu I love, set the table, and slow down enough to savor it all. No distractions, just the quiet joy of nourishing myself and being present.

Single life can be beautiful when we choose to romanticize it, when we honor the stillness, embrace the quiet, and find joy in the ordinary.
Happy Sunday!

This is such a beautiful post and a great reminder to slow down and allow myself to be still. Thank you so much.
Thank you for reading!
Taking time to savor each moment is so special. It’s nice that you take the time to set a nice table for yourself for dinner. You deserve that.
Thank you, Karen!
