June 2025: Growth, Gratitude and Grounding Moments

As I look back on June 2025, I find myself quietly proud and deeply grateful. This chapter of my journey toward self-discovery, self-love, and embracing life on my own has been marked by significant growth. June brought learning, connection, and the gentle reminder to slow down and savor the moments that truly matter. In navigating this newly single life, I’m finding strength in reflection, beauty in the small things, and a renewed sense of who I am becoming.

Early in the month, I traveled to New Jersey for a four-day trip where I had the chance to meet my team in person.

This trip reminded me how valuable face-to-face connection still is in this virtual work environment. That brief time together deepened our bond and added a human layer to the work we do.

Academically, I hit a milestone completing one of my financial courses. With two more to go, I can feel the momentum building, and I’m excited to keep going. I also had the honor of contributing to a cause close to my heart. I submitted a reflection on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to ACHE, and seeing it published on LinkedIn was both validating and inspiring.

But June wasn’t just about professional accomplishments. It was also about continuing the inward journey, the ongoing quest of self-discovery. No matter how much I learn or achieve, that inner work remains essential.

The last five days of the month were truly special. I escaped to Arizona with my daughter and niece for a well-deserved break. Surrounded by beauty, sunshine, and laughter, I felt grounded again. Those days reminded me of the importance of rest, connection, and simply being present.

And then, of course, there’s salsa. Dancing remains my joyful escape, my reminder that happiness doesn’t always come from having more, but from cherishing what you already have.  I may not have it all, but I have what I need to create joy, love deeply, and keep showing up for the life I want.

Here’s to carrying that energy into July, which is my birthday month, with hope, purpose, and maybe a few more dance steps.

How was your month of June?  I’d love to hear your thoughts—feel free to share them with me.  Thank you for stopping by my little virtual corner.
    With love,
    Marjie
