July was all that my heart and soul needed, not just because it’s my birthday month, but because it truly turned into a season of celebration. As I get older, I find myself embracing life differently: counting my blessings, cherishing the people who make life beautiful, and seeing challenges as stepping stones that build strength and character.

A Peaceful Escape to Sanibel Island
The highlight of July was spending four beautiful days in Sanibel Island with my book club friends. There’s something about being surrounded by the ocean, the soft sand, and the calming energy of the island that feels like a reset for the soul. Birthday Dinner With Friends
Back home, I celebrated my birthday with a festive dinner that my best friend Marie so thoughtfully arranged at my favorite Mediterranean restaurant, Dio. Surrounded by laughter, delicious food, and the warmth of close friends, it turned into a night I’ll always cherish.
A Cosmic Rodeo Party
Another fun highlight was the cosmic rodeo party hosted by Yelp Tampa. The event was filled with so much energy, endless food to sample, plenty of drinks to taste, and everyone went all out with their creative costumes. It was vibrant, lively, and definitely unlike anything I had done before — such a fun way to step outside of my routine and try something new.
An Unforgettable Gift From My Daughter
But the moment that touched me the most was my daughter’s unforgettable birthday surprise. She started by cooking me a lavish dinner at home, and then whisked me away on a pink boat, where she served my favorite cake as we cruised through Tampa, taking in the city’s sparkling night lights. It was magical, thoughtful, and something I will treasure forever. Moments like these remind me how blessed I am to have her in my life.

As I wrap up this month, my heart is simply thankful. Family, great friends, unexpected adventures, and the gift of creating memories that will last forever, that’s what July gave me. At this stage in life, I’m learning to lean more into gratitude and let joy guide the way.
And while I’m still navigating single life and facing challenges along the way, I’ve learned that life is still worth living to the fullest. Every experience, the good, the hard, and the unexpected, shapes me into the woman I’m becoming. Here’s to embracing it all with an open heart.
