Some months quietly pass by, and then some months leave a permanent mark on your heart. July 2026 was one of those months for me. Maybe it was simply due to the fact that it was my birthday month. Maybe it was because life was asking me to slow down, reflect, and rediscover myself. Whatever the reason, I chose to live every moment of July with intention. Instead of simply letting the days go by, I embraced them, celebrating the highs, acknowledging the lows, and allowing myself to grow through every experience.
One of the biggest highlights of the month was my birthday trip to Peru, an experience that became so much more than a vacation. Standing among the breathtaking landscapes of Machu Picchu, I felt something shift inside me. Surrounded by centuries of history and the beauty of nature, I realized just how small my worries are.

Peru reminded me that there is so much joy waiting on the other side of fear. Every step I took, from exploring ancient ruins to embracing new adventures, was a reminder that growth often begins where comfort ends. I returned home with renewed energy and a heart full of gratitude. I may not have all the answers about what comes next, but I know I have the strength to keep moving forward. I’ve overcome difficult seasons before, and I will overcome this one too.
This month also marked a personal decision: I am no longer allowing pain and heartache to define my story. Healing isn’t about pretending the hurt never existed; it’s about choosing not to let it have the final word. I’m choosing to celebrate myself, my resilience, and the beautiful life I’m continuing to build.
Beyond the unforgettable trip, it was the little moments that made July truly special. I had the opportunity to participate in the Strong Over 50 event at Busch Gardens, where women over 50 came together to celebrate strength, confidence, and healthy living. Throughout the day, we moved our bodies, listened to inspiring speakers, learned about health and financial wellness, and encouraged one another to embrace this season of life with confidence. It was more than an event; it was a reminder that life doesn’t slow down after 50; in many ways, it becomes richer and more meaningful. I left feeling inspired, empowered, and incredibly grateful to have been part of such an uplifting community.

July also permitted me to spend more time with myself. There were solo dinners, quiet solo coffee dates, moments of reflection, and peaceful evenings that reminded me that my own company is enough. As I continue navigating this season as an empty nester, I’ve learned that saying “yes” to myself is one of the greatest gifts I can give.
Yes to taking myself out.

Yes to creating beautiful memories.
Yes to finding joy in ordinary days.
Yes to loving the woman I am becoming.
I’ve realized that I truly enjoy my own company. My cup isn’t just full; it’s overflowing with blessings, gratitude, and hope. As I close the chapter on July, my heart is filled with excitement for what’s ahead. I don’t know exactly what this new season will bring, but I know I’ll walk into it with faith, courage, and an open heart.
Here’s to new beginnings.
Here’s to choosing joy.
Here’s to celebrating myself.
And here’s to another month filled with hope, positivity, adventure, and the courage to keep saying yes to life.
Cheers to August.
