Her cup overflows – July 2024 recap

Going through this challenging and emotional divorce process made the year 2024 difficult.  The fear of the unknown is still debilitating and keeping me from enjoying life to the fullest.  This past month has been one of the happiest so far, could it be because of my daughter’s graduation or because it’s my mom and my birthday?  I couldn’t tell; all I knew was the anticipated celebrations gave me something exciting and constant to look forward to during that tumultuous time.

I started the month of July by attending a powerful women’s conference. I felt uplifted by the messages and testimonials of the women speakers.  This event made me realize regardless of what we are going through, we are not alone.  Our experiences and paths may be different but we are connected through life.  Learning from one another brings hope for a brighter tomorrow.

The focus of July was my daughter’s graduation; her excitement and joy were contagious.  Her graduation fell on my birthday weekend, which was a perfect gift for me.  We decided to have a little escape and spent the weekend in Orlando.   We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, a beautiful hotel located in the heart of everything that Orlando has to offer.

We strolled down Disney Springs on Friday and had dinner at Morimoto Asia.  I specifically chose that restaurant due to my daughter’s love for Asian culture.

On Saturday morning, I was very proud of my daughter walking the stage to get her diploma. She had earned that master’s degree in healthcare administration through her hard work and dedication, and I could not be prouder of her.   We had her graduation dinner at Mangos Tropical Cafe which was the perfect location to celebrate her success.  We had dinner while watching some amazing performances.

On the day of my birthday, my daughters took me for Brunch at Ava MediterrAegean, one of the cutest Mediterranean restaurants in Winter Park, Orlando.  We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring Orlando.  What better way to celebrate my birthday than being with my two precious gifts, my two amazing daughters?

On July, 25th, we celebrated my mom’s 87th birthday.  I give thanks to my creator for keeping her alive and allowing us to enjoy another year with her while creating precious moments with her.

The celebration was not over, on the last weekend of the month, my sister-in-law, my favorite cheerleader in life, threw me a surprise birthday brunch.   It was a great evening of laughter and joy.

No matter how difficult our situation is, there is always something to be thankful for.  I can say that I was so grateful that July 2024 was amazing, and my cup was overflowing with blessings!  Cheers to another year and more strength to handle that divorce journey.

Stay blessed, Marjie!
