Grilled Sirloin Steak

Sunday night dinner is my favorite time of the week.  The only time where all 4 of us are free to gather and enjoy a good meal together as a family.  Soon, my older daughter will move out but I am holding on to these precious times.  For dinner tonight, we had some delicious grilled sirloin.  I did not throw them on the grill, instead, I cooked them on the stove on my grilled pan and they turned out perfectly delicious.

Grilled Sirloin Steak

2 pounds sirloin steak

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp roasted garlic and herb

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp cumin

2 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp olive oil

Mixed all the spices with 2 tbsp of olive oil.  Coat the meat completely on both sides with the mixture and let marinate for at least 1 hr.

Place the grilled pan over medium-high heat until hot, add the steak and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.

Once cooked, remove and let them stand 5 minutes for the juice to redistribute.

I deglazed the pan with some red wine and add the juice of the meat.  I plated my steak on a bed of lettuce.  Bon Appetit!

I hope you had a great weekend and ready for the week ahead.

  1. I seriously miss having a good steak right now! I love it well done though. Love your photos! And yes, it’s good with corn on the cob.

  2. Sirloin steak one of the best steak for me the other one is a ribeye..just salt and pepper throw it on the grill cook it medium…and a fresh chimichuri sauce…cant imagine my self having that kind of meal

  3. oh my I will never get tired of steak! YUM! although, i have never tried putting paprika, i might consider it adding a twist to my pallete next time

  4. This is perfect for a dinner date with someone! Thanks for giving me an idea. The way you cooked it is so satisfying and the presentation of the food is perfect for Instagram. I’ll definitely try this when the meat price becomes cheaper 😀
