January 2019 has gone by slowly. It was a month filled with promises to have a successful year. It was a month packed with enough determination to become a better version of ourselves. As I am looking at my goals, I am pretty pleased with how things went this past month. That does not mean that I have achieved all that I have planned. I am in a better place than I was yesterday.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a simple step. Lao Tzu.
Every day, I am making a conscious effort to stick to my plan regardless of the circumstances around me. There are things that I can change and there are things that I have no power over. Therefore, I can only focus on what I can control. As long as we have the will to take that first step and continue to move forward, soon we will realize, we are reaching our destiny.
Only those willing to walk through the dark night will be able to see the beauty of the moon and the brilliance of the stars. Socrates
I want to continue to progress toward my self-growth. I don’t want to do it alone. I want to take you with me on that ride. Are you still there? What are your goals for February? How do you plan to achieve them? To me, a daily reminder is crucial, and my vision board is near my bed. Every morning, I wake up with gratitude and knowing that I will do something to bring my dream to reality.
The greatest thing in this world is not so much where we stand as in what direction we are moving. Johann Wolfgan Von Goethe
The only impossible journey is the one you never begin. Tony Robbins
The key to realizing a dream is to focus not on success but significance and then even the small steps and little victories along your path will take on greater meaningOprah Winfrey
Most people overestimate the risks and underestimate their potential. Paul Martinelli
I hope you are still looking for ways to fulfill your dreams. There are days that everything will seem impossible. I just want to remind you that you have all it takes. Break your big goal down into small steps. Every day, we will take one step together. Little by little, you will see that your big dream is coming to life.
Have a blessed and successful month of February 2019!
I think you are well on the way to a great path of success. Self-reflection and personal growth are so important. We all have all we need inside us. Have a great 2019! xoxo S.
Thanks so much, Sheri, wishing you the same.
I want to work on my vision board. I have a lot of goals for my blog and my personal life. I am taking steps to make sure I do something every day that works toward my goals. I like the idea of breaking the big goals into smaller one.
Your blog will do great. Never stop, regardless of how small the step is, just keep moving.
Self-growth is such a worthy and important goal, and it’s good that you’re thinking so purposefully about all this.
I agree, Christopher, thank you!
I try my best to reach my dreams. Although I know it is impossible now, at my age, I never set it aside. It is still a dream and who knows one day I will be blessed with a miracle and this biggest dream of mine will come true. Self improvement, working on my confidence level, and loving my own self are the most effective ways I can achieve happiness. “No mud, No lotus.”
Kristine, age is a number, and that should not stop to work on your dreams. Wishing you the best!
I want to work on my blog, I will be collaborating with my sister to create a logo or illustration- so that would be exciting! I also would like to work on myself and to find an exercise that I won’t easily give up! ?
All the best, Winsze, you can do it.
one step at a time, yes. that is what i am focusing on this year as well towards a better me.
Have a blessed year, Vidya!
February is the beginning of the yer. January was a trial run lol. Yeah. Goals and plans still on track and hopefully the month sees success. Then on to March…and the rest of the successful year.
I love that attitude, Kemi, let the year start in February!
February is month of love yeah your right one step in a time so I don’t feel any pressure yet 🙂 anything takes a process Like your goals.
Absolutely, Maysz!
Thanks for your encouraging message! Taking one step at a time makes everything more manageable!
That is my philosophy for this year, Nicole!
Planning , Patience and purpose turns around life !! good to see someone following up on it
I am, Chandresh!
February is an extremely busy month for me as it is my husband, both my kids and my mum & Dad’s birthdays all within 5days! So my February goal is always to make I through in one piece’
Wow, Happy Birthday to all, Amy!
“Only those willing to walk through the dark night will be able to see the beauty of the moon and the brilliance of the stars.”
I needed such a quote right now that things feel so overwhelming for me…too much to do mean. And again, just one step at a time!
I love that quote, Dalene!
In this February I just wanted to go away from the crowd and stay away from everyone to calm down my mind. I want to travel a lot because travel helps me calm my mind and it’s good for my mental health.

Roseline, sometimes, it is important, to pause, go back within oneself or in a peaceful place, to gather all the necessary strength to grasp life with both hands.
This February I just want to get everything in control. We’re still in kind of a tizzy from vacation so I need to get the house and blog in order.
You can do it, Krysten, wishing you the best.
It sounds as if you are definitely on the right path for 2019. Just one step at a time, and like you said, there are some things that are out of your control so just focus on what you can be in charge of – you’ve got this!
Thanks, Sara!
Your first quote, “the journey of a thousand miles…” always holds a special place with me. My husband quoted it when he proposed, asking me to take the next step with him! I am the same way, that January seemed like such a long month, and though I didn’t accomplish all of my goals, I did really well on them and made some good strides to get me set up for a more successful February.
I know you will have a more successful month of February, Stephanie. Thanks for sharing your beautiful story, it makes me smile. May both you and your husband continue that beautiful love journey with many more blessings.
In this February I just wanted to go away from the crowd and stay away from everyone to calm down my mind. I want to travel a lot because travel helps me calm my mind and it’s good for my mental health. also I want to save a lot of money and do whatever I like.
You can do it, Roseline, take some alone time to regain yourself, and start planning your trips. Traveling is therapeutic.
Great job with being consistent with self-growth. I feel like I stalled with mine as work is just eating me up literally. Tomorrow is the day is when the parents come and watch my class and I have a dragon mom who wants me to teach everything to her daughter. I just can’t do it anymore.
Pause, and know that you are stronger than you think.
I want to continue my self growth journey as well. It’s something I am really passionate about – being the very best version of myself possible .
Same here, Erica!
I love post like these. I have one goal, that I will continue to work on being a good person and take care of myself. As long as I did my best I will not be hard on myself.
Jaclyn, that is absolutely wonderful, sometimes, we are taking care of everything else but ourselves.
Love your notion of bringing us along with you! I am working hard on consistent small gains. For example, even a hundred words of average writing is better than no writing at all. 6000 steps may not be 10k steps, but it is better than 4k. I get hung up on perfection, and so my biggest challenge is to push through “done!”
Sometimes, we are hard on ourselves, and we don’t give ourselves credits for what we do regardless of how small it is.
Self growth is so important. I definitely want to grow a little this year!
Good luck, Cris!
Sounds like you’ve made a great start to the year… I started pretty well but have been unwell for the last few weeks so am feeling a little frustrated!
The important thing is to feel better, then once you are well, you will start fresh and stronger!
Slow and steady wins the race, right? I love your perspective on life!
Thank you, Reesa!
That’s nice to be with you in the journey. i’m glad you had amazing month last month and hopefully, this one will be even better 🙂
I hope so, Jack, and thank you!
Focusing on what you can control is very important. I am trying really hard to stay focused and to have a good month as well.
We can do this, Bree, let’s continue the road.
Great message here. I love all you have said. Wishing you a lovely February too! Have a great month.

Thanks, Neyl!
I am in the same place as you are. A lot to mull over. Completed a 3 week Daniel Fast and trying to not go crazy with old sugar/caffeine habits. I am grateful for what is and working it other issues…
That is awesome, Elizabeth, let’s remain consistent.
Yes, it is important to take one step at a time. Hoping that you will have a great month 🙂
Thank you, Karen Monica, I wish you the same!
