Another beautiful Fall Sunday that I was blessed to spend with my family. The weather was perfect for some juicy and flavorful pork chops with apples.  Besides being delicious, the flavors of this dish are well balanced, and what better way to use all these apples that my daughter Yanah and I picked yesterday.

To me, a moment like this, sharing a meal with my loved ones while listening to music and chatting is a taste of Haven. I hope you had a wonderful weekend with your special ones.  Remember happiness is the sum of those little moments that we often tend to take for granted.

This is how I prepared my delicious pork chops with apples. Bon Appetit!

Pork Chops with Apples

Ingredients

4 pork chops

2 apples (I used the Gala)

1 red onion cut into 1/2-inch wedges

¾ cup white wine

1 tsp pepper flakes

1 tsp steak seasoning

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tsp of brown sugar

Preparation

Rinse the pork chops. Pat them dry, season with salt, pepper, pepper flakes, lemon pepper, steak seasoning

Heat a pan over high heat, add 1 tbsp of olive oil.  Sear the pork chops on both sides, 3 minutes each side.

Transfer to a plate

Add the other tbsp. of oil in the same pan.  Add the onion and the apples.  Cook them until they are lightly brown.

Season with salt, pepper, and the tsp of brown sugar.  Stir in the wine.

Return the pork chops to the pan.  Let them cook in the sauce for another 3 minutes.

I served my juicy pork chops with a creamy garlic mash potatoes that my daughter Yanah made and some steamed broccoli.

For dessert, we indulged ourselves with some ice-cream.  Happiness to me is a moment like this, sharing a nice meal with the three people that I love the most in the world, my husband and my two daughters.

Happy Sunday

  1. What a delicious recipe! Pork goes so well with apples, I have made it a few times but I used the fruits as a sauce rather than a side dish.

  2. This looks amazing. I wish I could try it. I’ve recently moved to all plant-based so probably won’t be able to try this for a while, but it does look terrific.

    • I had mine with mash potatoes. Vegetables, baked potatoes, or rice would be good for me. The possibilities are endless, Aisasami
