April 2026 Reflections: Gratitude, Growth, and Renewal

As I reflect on the monthly recaps I’ve been sharing over the past few years, I’ve come to realize that gratitude has always been at the heart of them. Even in challenging months, there is always grace to be found, and a quiet joy in overcoming that makes the journey meaningful.

April is a month I am truly grateful for. I celebrated Easter, a deeply meaningful occasion for us as Christians, and a reminder of renewal. This season invited me to pause and reevaluate my life. I took intentional steps to quiet unnecessary noise, release patterns that no longer serve me, and embrace a slower, more peaceful rhythm. Letting go of something painful was difficult, but I leaned into the love of my family and protected my peace in ways that felt both empowering and necessary.

April was my turn to host my book club meeting,  a space that feels especially joyful to me, as reading has always been my quiet escape. With these incredible women, I get to share that passion. Each month, we gather to discuss a new book, and while some stories feel deeply personal and relatable, others open our eyes to experiences different from our own. What I cherish most is how our conversations unfold, honest, thoughtful, and often revealing. They remind us that even if our journeys look different, we are often walking similar paths, just at different moments in time.

One of the highlights of the month was attending the “Mejor Tarde Que Nunca” concert featuring Romeo Santos and Prince Royce with my girlfriends, an unforgettable night filled with music, energy, and joy.

Beyond my YouTube Shorts, I shared one full-length video on my YouTube channel, Life After Divorce, Rediscovering Myself Podcast. This series has become a meaningful outlet for me, a space where I can share my story and the steps I’m taking as I navigate life after divorce. In telling my story, I find clarity and focus, and I hold onto the hope that it may also inspire and encourage someone else along the way.

I also had the opportunity to close the month by attending the ACHE Western Florida Chapter symposium, “Fast Forward to the Future.” It was an inspiring event that keeps me grounded, connects me with fearless healthcare leaders, and equips me with insights to continue growing as a stronger, more impactful nurse leader.

I hope your month of April was fulfilling. And if it wasn’t, there is always space to recalibrate and realign with the life you desire. May your month of May be beautiful, intentional, and full of possibility.

With love,
Marjie
