We Are Enough

Have you ever had all these great ideas, but we”re so scared of failure that the ideas ended up dying?  Just know that you are not alone.

Too often, we feel insecure and let great opportunities pass us by.  We are enough to accomplish anything we want as long as we don’t let fear overrule our capacity to achieve greater things.   Fear will always paralyze us and we will never be able to put a foot forward.

Endless possibilities (Mount Prospect, Lake George, NY)

We all have something greater within us that can overcome any barrier except the ones we created.  We are our own obstacles and we keep opportunities from coming by self-doubting.

This is the year to unleash all our blessings.  This is the year to believe in endless possibilities. This is the year to tackle all challenges with faith and confidence.

As the new year starts, let’s take the steps through our fears; don’t let them hold us back.  Let’s leave our comfort zone and try something new with a positive and winning attitude.

When we encounter the next challenge, breathe, and remind ourselves that we are enough and capable of triumphing against all odds.  Remember never measure ourselves with someone’s else ruler.  Know that we have strengths and skills that are dormant deep inside of us.    In a moment of darkness, never forget the sun always rises in the morning.

We are enough to do whatever we set our minds to.  We are enough to break any barriers and conquer the world.  We are Enough to achieve our goals and make our dreams come true.

    • Tyra,
You should be grateful for your parents and friends. As you said, it is really sad to see people giving up on their dreams, let be an encouragement and motivation for them.

  1. I saw your picture and knew exactly where it was taken. Lake George is my happy place!
In the 2 short weeks of 2018, I have already been faced with many new projects and challenges. I know I can breathe deep and do this!

  2. Life is way to short, and even more amazing to let fear hold you back. I decided this a couple years back and it’s crazy how much positive effect this one “minor” change has had on the way I see life.

  3. I am taking one day at a time.I plan my day and have my routine set and I feel so great when I complete my tasks everyday. I’m excited for this year or maybe I’m just more mature and have made plans for myself and and working towards it everyday.

  4. This is such a wonderful post. I just had a conversation like this today. Speaking about a friend we were talking about convincing her she is enough and one whole person without a man. She tends to pick ones that cause issues over and over. It was necessary for her to learn that she is wonderful and one whole person alone too. She is enough.

    • Sarah, we are in this world, to lift and support each other. I am so glad that you were there for your friend and make her realize that she is Enough and can overcome any challenges.

  5. Unfortunately it took the passing of someone in my family for me to realize this. At the memorial, someone told a tale of how she took a helicopter ride and how she was terrified but did not want to miss out on the experience. That’s how I want to live.

  6. Great timing on this post. I have come upon an obstacle and trying to decide where I want to take it. Acknowledging that I am enough and that it’s okay to move forward with this step is exactly what I needed this morning. Endless possibilities!

    • We will definitely go thru challenges and hardship in life, what you have to do Angela, is to learn and build on those challenges and move forward stronger and better.

  7. I so needed this inspirational post today, thank you! You are so right, fear does paralyze us. We need to shut down that negative voice in our heads to successfully move forward.

    • Sorry for the passing of your friend, unfortunately, it’s one of those major life events that bring us to reality and make us take action to enjoy the life we were meant to live.

  8. This is such an inspiring and uplifting post. I definitely have my moments of doubts and feel like I’m not doing enough. Thanks for sharing!

  9. Thank you for this. It’s just what I needed to hear this morning. I live with a chronic illness and often will pass on opportunities because of it. Hopefully, though, that doesn’t need to happen anymore. Maybe 2018 will be the year of Recovery for me.

  10. This is all so very true. I am definitely one to never feel enough or good enough for anything. I definitely needed this today. Thank you so much for sharing these honest and true words!

  11. Fear has the potential of leaving us to not really live the life we are meant to. For me, I am terrified of failure, but then I have to remind myself, the real failure is me being scared to take risks or to not take a leap of faith. Then, I just go for it, and somehow it always works it way out.

    • MJ, I am glad that you were able to overcome your fear and go for your dreams. We have to also remind ourselves that failures can lead to success if we are opened to learn from them

    • Your mom did great, Melissa. You have to believe in yourself and know that you are able to do whatever you set your mind to do.

  12. That was motivation to me, as after I quit full time job and entered blogging, I have been having so many ideas to to diversify but to be honest, I just cannot start many of them.

    • Thank you for your feedback, Jhilmil, I will say, write your ideas, have a plan, and start acting on them one by one. I am positive you will succeed in whatever you decide to do.

  13. Thanks so much! I definitely needed this reminder. Too often we let big challenges or new tasks keep us paralyzed because of our fear of failure. But really knowing we are enough is the key ingredient to building our confidence and courage so that we can tackle anything. Thanks so much for sharing this word!

  14. I love this post. Life is too short to be held back by fears. Sometimes it takes a little change to really remember how important we are and how important it is to not let fear hold us back.

  15. I love this post. I see this happening to someone I love a lot and I pray that things change for them to not let fear and procrastination hold them back. I am planning on working hard to achieve all my dreams.

    • Great job Afra on working to achieve your goals. Please try to provide words of encouragement to your loved ones to make them aware that they are enough and capable of overcoming any challenges.

  16. I was one that would let fear overshadow everything I wanted to do. Finally, I decided I wasn’t going to let it hold me back and great things have happened! Yes, we are enough. 🙂

  17. Fear is the worst that can happen to us, unfortunately . It can just paralize from trying anything new or different. I had a fear when starting my blog that my content is not enough… But now that I’m getting better and I’m getting confident I know that I am enough like you said!
Thank you for writing this, such an important reminder.

    • Thank you Narkis for your comment. Like you, I was hesitant to start my blog as English is my second language. I challenged myself, I still have a long way to go, but I am confident that if I work hard, I am enough to make my dreams come true. I will make sure to visit your blog.

  18. Beautiful words! I always say to those who feel they don’t make a difference, that they influence and affect positively many more people than they think. Also, that they need to realize their own worth! We bring things to this world in a very unique way. Thanks for reminding us that we ARE, in fact, ENOUGH!

  19. Thanks for these wonderfully inspiring words. Fear and doubt has chained me since 2016 when I lost my husband. Even before that, I stopped blogging for a long time because people have doubted my abilities in that hobby. I am just full of those two emotions that I cannot move forward at all.

    • Kweni,
First, let me say that I am sorry for the loss of your husband. Second, as you realize that fear and doubt is holding you, you need to take steps to overcome them. It’s not easy but you have that strength within you, you just have to let it surface. Know that you can, start slowly with an easy task. People will doubt your ability but only your doubt can hold you back.

  20. This is some great advice! It’s always good to start the new year off with a fresh start and face your fears. Just have to put some faith in yourself and believe you can do anything.

  21. This post was so encouraging. I was feeling a little down at beginning of the year thinking about everything I had to do, but I started working things began to seem easier. Keep pushing you are enough.

    • I am glad my post has helped you in some way, Gabbie, but I am certain, in such moments, you have what it takes to bring you up.

    • I can feel your positive energy through your comment. Thank you for your comment and I am certain, you are going to have an amazing year, living the life you deserve.

  22. I love this. This is the year I plan on trying to think of positives and stay on the positive side. Sometimes it’s hard when you fall down, but we just got to believe in ourselves.

  23. Sometimes we put ourselves down and don’t allow ourselves to succeed. You really do need to believe in one’s self if you are going to succeed. You have such a great positive attitude.

  24. This post is very timely, MarjieMare. Sometimes, we feel we don’t have what it takes to reach our purpose, until we realize, like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, that we had the power within us all along!

  25. This post made me think of my current state of life. Since my mom died, my fears have resurfaced. Fear of separation, fear of death, fear of the future. It has gotten to a point that it pre-occupies most of my thought processes. I have to get back to living. I know my mother is watching me from heaven and I know she does not like what I have become. Thank you for this wake up call.

    • Wish you well, Kristine, I think that fear is part of your grieving process. I am confident with time, you will be fine, and enough to overcome any difficulties.

  26. Fear does get the most of me at times and I end up not doing what I should be doing. I am working on that and trying to get out of my shell. Thanknyou for this, I am enough.

    • Once in a while, we can doubt ourselves but we must remain positive and always remind ourselves that we have what it takes to overcome anything.

  27. I have started saying yes to a lot more opportunities and facing my fears and it is really paying off! I’m trying to be more positive and stop doubting myself!
