Searching For Inner Peace

We are living in such a chaotic world, finding peace can sometimes be challenging.  We are always racing against time that we are losing ourselves.

I have learned that nobody can prevent me from finding my peace.  Once, I realized that peace comes from within, I started to cultivate the habit to remove myself from any hostile situation. It is not easy, with time and practice, it’s attainable.

My search has finally ended. I have found peace, happiness, and myself in between.  I hope your search is coming to an end soon.   Here are some of my favorite quotes.

Learning to ignore things is one of the great paths to inner peace. Robert J. Sawyer

Inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions. Pema Chodron

Peace is not the absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means. Ronald Reagan

We must let go of the hurt and pain.  We must learn to forgive as this is the only way that we will find peace.

Don’t let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace. Dalai Lama

For every minute we remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Most importantly, we can’t wait or hope someone will bring us peace.  We have to learn to foster it.  We have to learn to withdraw from the noise and negativity.

Peace comes from within.  Do not seek it without.  Buddha

Mother Theresa said, “peace begins with a smile”.  This is so true; a smile can change someone’s day and reverse a whole situation.  Let’s keep smiling, let’s remain in peace and maybe one day, this world will be finally at peace.

Envision a serene place, smile and you will reach that ecstatic state

Share your smile with the world, it’s a symbol of friendship and peace. Christie Brinkley

  1. This is so true about most aspects of life. We cannot rely on others to provide something for us. We must love/accept ourselves and in that we shall found external love and acceptance.

  2. It’s hard sometimes to realize things aren’t good for us and then even harder to let go. I’ve been trying to actively think about it and calm myself, but it’s not easy some days.

    • It is indeed hard and difficult, Patricia, but once we find that inner peace, we realize it was worth struggling for, and no one or nothing else will take that peace away from us.

  3. This could not have come at a better time! It is so important to find that inner peace yet sometimes so difficult.

  4. It can be so difficult to remove yourself from situations but also so beneficial. I love quotes and these are some good ones!

  5. The events going on in the world right now are overwhelming and we need to find ways to check out and recharge. Each of us needs a way to find inner peace

  6. In my yoga classes I encourage my participants to practice being at peace because it is a learned response. In these chaotic times, we have to practice feeling peace, imagining special peace filled moments and allowing our bodies, minds and spirits to absorb peace.

  7. Right now my main goal in life is to always find peace in everything no matter how chaotic my surroundings can be. If it doesn’t contribute to my inner peace I should let it go and the quotes you posted above are such great reminders and it’s so inspirational

  8. Cultivating a positive mindset is everything. And inner-peace is a conscious choice one must make every day. Forgiveness is so important to achieve inner peace. We must forgive others for their shortcomings and in turn, forgive ourselves for our failures and human weakness.

  9. You are completely true. We live in a world where there are so many factors that we cannot control and that may affect us in one way or another. We, of course, can’t go on changing the world around us. However, we can control ourselves and make peace with the surroundings!

  10. What a lovely read! Everyday, we try to achieve peace but find it elusive. We’re doing it all wrong, because peace comes from within. It is definitely in the stillness, in a quiet private place that we can feel peace.

  11. I couldn’t agree with you more. I realized that being at war with someone is not doing me any good but peace just makes the situation different. So I decided to always be at peace.

  12. Yay it’s so great you found your peace. It can be such a hard thing to do, and so many people tie their peace in with needing a person which isn’t healthy at all.
