Perfect Creamy Garlic and Parmesan Shrimp Sauce for a Rainy Sunday

What a rainy Sunday, all I want to do is sitting comfortably in my chair and read a book.  If you are in the Tampa area, you would agree with me that today is the perfect day to be lazy. Honestly, I don’t feel like cooking but I must feed my crowd.

I always have some shrimp in my fridge.  I also have some cream and wine.  This is all I need to make a quick meal.

This is how I make my quick and easy creamy garlic and parmesan shrimp sauce

What I use

1 lb. shrimp

1 cup white wine

1 cup reduced fat cream

6 cloves garlic minced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 cup Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp butter

2 tbsp dried parsley

Preparation

Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat, sauté the shrimp for about 1 to 2 minutes, then transfer them to a bowl.

In the same pan, add the butter and sauté the garlic.

Add the white wine.  Cook for 2 minutes or until reduced to half.

Add the cream, season to taste with salt and pepper.

Add the Parmesan cheese.  Let the sauce simmer for about 2 minutes

Add the shrimp back into the pan and sprinkle the dried parsley.

I served this sauce over some leftover white rice and it was the most delicious meal we ever had.

  1. It’s breakfast time and now I am craving this!! Sounds and looks delicious! I love all kinds of seafood (I’m a Mermaid I suppose!) Will have to try this out because all of my boys love Shrimp as well!

  2. This sounds delicious! Garlic and shrimp go so well together. My family is all about 2 hours drive south of you in Fort Myers and said they had quite the rainy weekend there, too, and now it’s really cold.

  3. Oh boy, that looks amazing. We have a alfredo sauce that we make from scratch and add it to shrimp alrfedo. It is delicious. I pretty much love any kind of sauce over shrimp. I will have to give this a try for sure. 🙂
