What a rainy Sunday, all I want to do is sitting comfortably in my chair and read a book. If you are in the Tampa area, you would agree with me that today is the perfect day to be lazy. Honestly, I don’t feel like cooking but I must feed my crowd.
I always have some shrimp in my fridge. I also have some cream and wine. This is all I need to make a quick meal.
This is how I make my quick and easy creamy garlic and parmesan shrimp sauce
What I use
1 lb. shrimp
1 cup white wine
1 cup reduced fat cream
6 cloves garlic minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp dried parsley
Preparation
Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat, sauté the shrimp for about 1 to 2 minutes, then transfer them to a bowl.
In the same pan, add the butter and sauté the garlic.
Add the white wine. Cook for 2 minutes or until reduced to half.
Add the cream, season to taste with salt and pepper.
Add the Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer for about 2 minutes
Add the shrimp back into the pan and sprinkle the dried parsley.
I served this sauce over some leftover white rice and it was the most delicious meal we ever had.
This looks easy enough even I could cook it! Thanks for the great recipe!
Thank you, Liz!
Im not a big fan of shrimp but I love the sound of this sauce! I’d use it on chicken, infact Im going to give it a try tomorrow night!
Same like my best friend, she uses chicken as she does not eat seafood at all.
I love seafood so I am definitely going to try these. Thank you for the recipe.
Thank you, Karen!
These look amazing! I turned vegetarian a while back but I know my friends would like this dish!
I have tried to be a vegetarian and failed. You should try some recipes with me, Akamatra!
It’s breakfast time and now I am craving this!! Sounds and looks delicious! I love all kinds of seafood (I’m a Mermaid I suppose!) Will have to try this out because all of my boys love Shrimp as well!
Same here, Courtney, both my girls and I are seafood lovers.
I’m not a fan of shrimp but this does look good. Will share with friends and family.
Sorry, Krysten, if you eat chicken, you can prepare it same way.
Hey , its good to try over the weekend receipe .. Will post my friends feedback over it
Great, Chandres!
This sounds delicious! Garlic and shrimp go so well together. My family is all about 2 hours drive south of you in Fort Myers and said they had quite the rainy weekend there, too, and now it’s really cold.
It was so cold last week, for a moment, I thought I was in NJ, Stephanie until the beautiful weather comes back.
Oh my gosh, get in my belly. I’m so hungry. And I didn’t realize how bad until I read this, lol. I love shrimp and think that it can be a lighter version of comfort food.
Same here, Nicole, you will always find shrimp in my refrigerator.
This looks very tasty. I would love to try it. I think my family would love it too!
Try and let us know.

I’m with Flossie, while I’m not a fan of shrimp this does sound like something that my spouse and children would just gobble up.
So your kids and Flossie’s are welcome to have a shrimp fest with mine.
We love shrimp and can eat it any time! This looks delicious and I will be trying it for sure!
Great, Reesa, you will love it.
Wow, this is such an easy recipe and it looks so delicious. Does the sauce thicken up at all or would you need to add a thickening agent if you wanted thicker sauce?
Yes, it does thicken, Jessica!
Oh boy, that looks amazing. We have a alfredo sauce that we make from scratch and add it to shrimp alrfedo. It is delicious. I pretty much love any kind of sauce over shrimp. I will have to give this a try for sure. 🙂
Same here, Kayla!
That dish looks delicious. It would be the perfect complement to a cold night sitting and eating by the fireplace.
Picture perfect, Elizabeth!
I don’t like shrimp, but my husband does. Looks easy to make. Maybe I’ll be a nice wife and make him this.
That is awesome, Jessie!
