Mocha Cream Cheese Mousse for a Perfect Wednesday Evening

It’s a beautiful evening here in Tampa and I felt like having something rich and delicious to end my day.  I decided to go for a delicious, mocha cream cheese mousse.  I love chocolate, and once in a while, I forget about the calories and just enjoy a sweet treat.

Ingredients

2 eight ounces Cream cheese

1 ½ cups white sugar

1pint heavy whipping cream

2 tbsp Instant coffee

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2tsp vanilla extract

1tsp cinnamon powder

1 tsp. nutmeg

Cherries and mint leaves to decorate

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat together, the cream cheese, the sugar, and the vanilla until light and fluffy and the sugar is completely dissolved.

Add the cocoa powder, the coffee, the cinnamon powder, and the nutmeg.  Mix well and set aside.

In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.  Fold in half of the whipping cream into the mocha mixture.  Fold together until completely blended.

Then fold in the remainder of the whipping cream.

Divide the mocha mixture between small serving dessert bowls, I used my regular glasses.  Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.  Decorate with cherry and mint leaves. Then serve.

  1. This looks really delicious and very easy to make. I’m always looking for quick and easy recipes as sometimes you want something sweet but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen.

  3. I love anything with coffee in it so that spoke to my sweet tooth and stomach. I can almost taste the deliciousness.
