May 2020, a month of love

The month of May is usually described as the month of love.  We celebrate and honor the beautiful mothers all around the world.   The first week of May is dedicated to all the caring nurses, and I am proud to be one of them.

The past two months, Covid-19 has put us through so much.  These changes had a toll on everyone in some way or the other.  Hopefully, the month of May will allow us to breathe again.  It can be very difficult to ask for help and keep it all in.  We need to remember to focus on moving through, not around, our feelings.  We should talk about what’s hurting.  We should reach out, and we should know it’s okay not to be okay.

We need to take some time to give ourselves some love, compassion, and some care.   Self-care is so important and this is the first step to do if we want to help others.  We must love ourselves and know that tomorrow will be a better and brighter day.

I hope you take time to enjoy the moment, enjoy the sunshine, enjoy the rain, enjoy the music.  Love and be loved!

  3. I think you touched on it exactly we need some positivist right now with everything going on and what better month then May, but we can forgot to still take care of one another and forget what is currently happening.

    Stay safe.

  6. The may is the start of Summer, we can say the May is the month of may because the migratory bird fly back to their original destination. I hope this may will bring some new opportunities for all of those who lost their livelihood sources due to lockdown…. Let us spread love in this May.

  7. Great advice for this month. I am not really afraid of what is happening with COVID because I know this is temporary and anything troubles will get resolved.

  8. “It’s okay not to be okay” – yes, this phrase is always a good reminder that all of us are humans with emotions and feelings. There are days that we are not being functional or not being able to pull ourselves out of our own. We feel hopeless and helpless sometimes but that is indeed normal. Thanks again for reminding me this. Take care!

  9. Love the word, “its okay not to be okay”. Yes, the pandemic has deprived us of so many things. I keep on praying that everything will be alright soon. Keep us my dear frontliner.

  10. There is always that small thing that makes us smile even our days are quite cloudy.
    BTW, gorgeous flowers!

  11. Thank you for such a wonderful reminder. ABout taking care of ourselves. About asking for help. And about not being ok right now. I thought being a brand new mother was hard, but this is definitely an entirely different level! My boys are hurting so much emotionally right now without seeing their friends, their teachers, and their schools and there’s only so much my husband and I can do for them. We need that social interaction and being able to let go now and then.

  12. Come to think of it, May IS a happy month – weather is warmer, flowers are blooming – and it’s so fitting it’s the month for moms and nurses! It has been tough, I can imagine more so for you at the frontlines. We appreciate you!
