Knowledge Is Power

I live by Maya Angelou’s quote “I have learned that I still have a lot to learn”.  I make it my mission to increase my knowledge and learn something new every day.  Most importantly I am always open to sharing what I’ve learned with others to reinforce what I know.

Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets. Leonardo da Vinci

I am always curious, every day, I take the opportunity to acquire some new knowledge and get better.  I have learned so much from my own children that I have come to the realization that I can learn from everyone and everything as long as I keep my eyes opened and ready to seek and grasp that knowledge.

The world is a university and everyone in it is a teacher. Make sure when you wake up in the morning, you go to school.  TD Jakes

The capacity to learn is a gift, the ability to learn is skill, the willingness to learn is a choice.  Brian Herbert

If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you.  If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you. Unknown

Once you stop learning, you start dying. Albert Einstein

Please share your feedback with me, I would love to hear and learn from you.  Remember right now, is the perfect time to learn something new, and sharing your knowledge will make you know more.

I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, and a nurse. Most importantly, I am passionate about life. I always give my best to anything that I decide to do. I believe taking a risk to fulfill your dream can be rewarding.

  1. I have so many things I want to see, do, and learn in life. I like to read books in the evenings to improve myself in life, as a parent, as a wife, as a blogger, as an entrepreneur… I never read about the same subject twice in a row so I don’t get overwhelmed.

  2. I love these quotes especially the one by TD Jakes!!! It is so true and I try to take trips often to learn other cultures and environments. Only so much can be learned from a book or the internet before we have to get out there and “get into the world”

  3. I agree with you that we are always learning and it is important to strive to learn every day. I also believe that the universe sends us the people we need to learn from, we just need to be aware and open to it.

  4. We really learn a lot every day and it is never enough. Learning is a never ending process. We can’t learn everything even about a particular subject.

  5. It’s funny, when you are goin in school you can’t wait to finish it. After, you are done with that you realized that every day is learning and improving. I love learning new thing and I agree knowledge is power

  6. I really love that you say you’ve learned so much from your children. It’s funny, isn’t it, how we go into parenting thinking we will be the teachers but we are forever students!

  7. I love your quotes. You can learn so much from just having a conversation with someone. I love learning new things each day. You never know what you might learn if you put your mind to it!

  8. Great post! You know what a lot of people say “The older the wiser,” but I think that is false. See the older one gets the more they realize they still have a lot to learn, when you are young your slightly ignorant and don’t see things with experience. I once had a patient tell me “The older I get the dumber I get because the more I realize I need to learn.” He was right!

    • So true, Leah, in my opinion, the more mature we get, the more we see things different, and the more eager we are to learn and do things well.

  9. I’m a firm believer that one is never too old to learn. I hope to be in my eighties and nineties and still want to learn new things and constantly trying to grow and exercise my brain!
