It’s December, let’s make it happen!

This unforgettable year is coming to an end, and I still cannot believe it’s December. Although my life was on a roller coaster these past months, yet I manage to enjoy each moment.  2018 was far from easy or great for me, regardless of the ups and downs, I am blessed to be there, to smile, and share this post with you.  I can honestly say my struggles have made me stronger and I am grateful that I was able to overcome them all.

So, December is here, full of joy, hope, and endless promises.  First, let’s breathe and be thankful and appreciative for all the people in our lives.  Second, let’s reflect on all the things we wanted to achieve and why some did not happen.

We only have a few days left; how can we make this year counts?  It does not matter how much we will do; what matters is to do something meaningful, something we were longing to do.   I know, we can do it.

As most of us are ready to celebrate the holidays, let’s make an impact on those we love.  Let’s help someone in need.    Let’s give our time.  Let’s be the light that shines for so many that live in silent darkness.    Let’s spread joy and hope.  Those are meaningful and unforgettable gifts.  It’s December, let’s make it happen.

  1. Love your sense of positivity and hope! December is one of my favorite months obviously because of Christmas but it is also the door to the New Year and I cant wait to make 2019 a great year! However, it is also a good time to reflect on what we did in the previous year and really self evaluate if we have done what hoped we would.
Love your goals to make things happen. There are so many people we can help in millions of ways. I hope you have a fruitful December and a Very Happy Christmas Season!
    Merry Christmas

  2. December always comes around so slowly at the start of the year, then September hits and its a frantic race to make the year count! I deffo feel this pressure. I hope you have a great rest of 2018 and wonderful 2019!

  3. This is going to sound crazy-selfish to some I’m sure, but this December I hope to give myself (and by extension my family) a gift of time for ME to finish up some of the projects around the house, so we can move into the new year with a clean slate! Our basement/kitchen flooded last May, and though the contractors finished their work about 2 mos ago now, my car still lives in the driveway because the garage is still full of stuff that needs to be put back! (and in some cases, purged instead) (but of course that means time to sort it all first…see what I mean about the gift of time?)

  4. It’s so hard to believe that 2018 is coming to an end. Where does time go? I agree that this is an excellent time to reach out and help others in need. So many people are homeless and without food, and there are so many elderly who need a bit of assistance with grocery shopping, going to appointments, and more.

  5. I loved reading your post. You gave us such gentle yet sincere reminders about what this season actually means. It is so easy to spend this whole time worrying about finances or getting the perfect gifts for people.

  6. Love how you bring such a positive spirit to the new year. I think that is very important and I am extremely grateful each and everyday!

  7. I can’t believe it’s already December! The first half of my month will be spent doing a lot of volunteering at my son’s elementary school. I’m yearbook photographer and there are a lot of events in the next few weeks. We plan to go through their toys together this weekend and find any they don’t play with anymore to donate. It’s not a lot, but it’s something they can do at their age.

  8. I just love reading your posts. You are always full of so much sunshine and positivity. I agree with you kindness is so important this time of year.

  9. 2018 went so fast at least to me. I love the energy and positivity in your post. I think we definitely can be better at being kind to each other and sharing the holiday spirit more.

  10. We have been trying to focus our energy on helping others and giving back. We are so blessed and its really the time to help others

  11. I agree that December is such a month of hopefulness and promise. I always try to do a service project with my teenager. It serves as a good reminder about how blessed we truly are.

  12. I love December. Not only because of the holidays, but because it is my birthday month. This year I’m turning 30 and I am going to make it a tradition to run a month long fundraiser to help raise money for a nonprofit organization close to my heart.

  13. I love the outward looking nature of this post I think we can become so caught up with those near and dear to us at this time of year that we can forget there are lots of other people who need help in the last weeks of the year.

  14. What an awesome message! The first half of this year was tough for me but I am so thankful that things are looking up!

  15. I enjoyed reading this! I feel every time is going by just so fast and it is important to make time for those we love. I love the message of just making the world a little nicer and brighter by spreading hope and joy!
