Are we waiting for the perfect time to take action towards our dreams? There is no perfect time, it is just a notion which we can never control or explain. I am still puzzled and try to understand how some can say they have a lifetime of happiness while others spend their entire lives and can never reach that supreme feeling. Some define a blissful moment as true happiness that can only occur once in a lifetime. After they live a beautiful experience, some describe their day as the ultimate euphoria that can be only lived once. Some are still searching for the perfect time or wait for the right person to embrace true happiness.
I have come to the realization that notion of time is only in our head, only the intensity of our emotions matters even if it is not measurable. Time has meaning if we are living in the moment. If we are trying to hold on negativity, or not enjoying ourselves, we will not reach that level of happiness that we are striving for.
We have to let go of all thoughts and focus only on living the moment. If we are mindful of what we are doing, we will continuously live in contentment and then we will understand that we are in control of our own happiness, because time does not matter, only us and the moment matter.
I couldn’t agree more with you! I’d even say that the way we view time in our society as linear is flawed. I believe that time is cyclical and there is no true division between past present or future other than in our perception. Mindful is the key, let’s experience this mysterious life like curious children!
Hugs, Dayana
Dayana,
I could not agree with you more, mindful is the key, thank you so much for your feedback.
I was actually reading a book the other day that played with the concept of time. It is really interesting.
I would love to read that book Echo, share the name.
I need to work on my outlook on things. I feel like I’m always trying to achieve more in a day than possible and leaves me feeling like I’ve failed. Thanks for sharing this. It’s just what I needed to hear.
I would go slowly and try one thing at a time, Emily.
Great post. 2018 is the year for me to look at the big picture and take into consideration the time that is given to us.
Kristyn,
Thanks for your feedback, I wish you a blessed and successful year.
Love this post! I need to slow down and take everything in as it’s happening. I have two little girls and they are growing so quickly that it’s making me realize just how precious time is!
Chelsee,
Thank you for your comment. Hope you enjoy each moment spent with your 2 precious girls.
Loved reading this! I agree with you 100%, I love living for the now and wish more people did too!
You can empower them to live in the moment, Krysti.
My husband and I always say that time is such a funny thing. In some ways, it’s just an arbitrary unit of measurement that someone made up to help explain things. But I also agree that if you wait until the time is right, you may never do something. I hear people say all the time they are waiting for the right time to have children, and some of them never do. There isn’t always a right time, you just have to go for it!
Well said, Stephanie, the right time is just now, only if you live it fully.
Yes i absolutely agree! Time really is important for people and we should all not waste it.
Yes Nathan, and we should be present and enjoy each moment.
Completely agree with you! this was an amazing thought and put across quite well. I always feel that living in the moment and being mindful of our actions always bring out good things in future.
Well said Pooja,
Being mindful, living in the moment is my way of living.
The way that we determine time is so important. It really is all relative to what we want to accomplish.
I agree with you, Deb.
Great post!! I have been trying to really focus on what I am doing. I used to get so stressed and feel like I never had enough time but I am trying to take things one day at a time and look at the bigger picture. wish me luck!!
You are on the right path, Ashley, one day at a time, and remember to enjoy each moment.
All true. As Madeleine L’Engle wrote of it in her thildren’s books, there is chronos time (wristwatch time) and there is kairos time (pure time with no numbers).
Yes, Flossie, the pure time has no numbers.
Oh i totally agree with this. We should all enjoy every moment with our family and friends.
Thank you, Jake, for your feedback
I definitely could not agree with you more, time is precious. It was not till I got older that I started respecting and looking at time a little differently than I had as a kid. Every minute truly does count, thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Ariel! Hope you make every second counts!
I definitely feel like our outlook on things is very important. We also should put pressure on ourselves about timing because everyone’s path is different!!
Absolutely, Nikki, we each have a different path, but we each should reach out to others and help them to reach their final destination.
Very well said. It is in our heads. In order to reach true happiness, we need to focus on the positives and not the negatives.
I agree with you, Glenda, thanks for your comment.
For me dates and time matter a lot. I’m a big fan of living in the present at the same time, I’m super sentimental so certain dates and times mean more to me than others.
I do love to reminisce about joyful moments as well, Danielle
I agree with this! Time is really just a human concept. It allows us to live our busy lives and stay scheduled. It would be nice not to have to think about time.
Thank you, Liz, for commenting.
