Back to reality with some Juicy Pork Chops

The holiday festivity is over and all my Christmas decorations are down, it’s time to get back to our daily activity. Although my older daughter is still enjoying her winter break, tomorrow I am going back to work and my younger one will resume school.

As always, dinner has to be quick, easy and delicious.  Therefore, I made some delicious and juicy pork chops which I served with sautéed green beans and potato au gratin.  The pork chops were delicious and this is how I made them.

What I used

6 boneless pork chops

2 tbs olive oil

2 teaspoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons salt-free steak seasoning

Salt and pepper

1 large onion

2 tomatoes

1 green bell pepper

½ cup of chicken stock

½ cup wine

Preparation

Sprinkle the pork chops with the steak seasoning, salt, and pepper evenly on both sides.

Preheat a large nonstick pan with about 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the pork chops and cook for a couple minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove them to a plate and set them aside.

In the same pan, add the remaining olive oil, add the onions, tomatoes, and the bell pepper. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce the heat to medium and cook until the onions are tender. Add the chicken stock, the wine, and the brown sugar.  Bring to a boil. Add the pork chops and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes.  Flip them halfway thru to ensure they cook evenly.

Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family did.  Let me know what do you usually serve with your pork chops.

  1. I bet the bell pepper really added some great flavor to that! My mom makes something similar with pork loin and cream cheese. I honestly love all the different things you can do with pork!

  2. Brown sugar is always good on pork chops! My boys started back at school today, too. We did a slow cooker meal tonight to make it something easy as we get back in the swing of everything.

  3. I am going to pin this and try this. I never really liked pork chops because they are too dry for me but this looks delicious. I’ve never heard of adding wine to it!!!
