To me, the essence of the holiday season is to bring the family closer. What better way to enjoy that closeness than by sharing some delicious meal, watching movies, and creating memories? For our movie night, we savored my delicious apple crumble pie with some ice cream. We had such a wonderful time, and the laughter was priceless.
Wherever you are, I hope you take the time to enjoy the little things with your loved ones. The little moments make the holiday magical.
Apple Crumb Pie
1 frozen 9-inch pie shell
6 green apples
½ lemon juice
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cinnamon powder
For the crumb topping
1 cup oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick unsalted butter
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup pecans, chopped
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
In a bowl, mix the apples, lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set the mixture aside.
In another bowl, cut the butter into the flour, then add the brown sugar, the oats, the pecans, and the salt.
Place the pie shell in a baking dish, add the apple mixture to it, and top with the crumb mixture.
Bake for 1 hour.
Let it cool for a while and enjoy it with your favorite ice-cream.
I’m not quite sure why I haven’t tried the Apple Crumb pie yet. I’ve been learning new recipes lately. I think I should add this to my list.
It’s simple and delicious, Viano, you should try it if you have not done so yet.
This is perfect timing! I was thinking about making this the other day. I have loads of apples in my kitchen and I’m super excited to make some apple crumbles. There’s only so many apples smoothies I can make. 😂 Thank you for sharing. x
My uncle made this once and I forgot the recipe. Thank you for this. It helps bring back memories with him.
I am glad to hear that, Fatima!
Ooh, this looks delicious… I absolutely love apple crumble, it’s one of my favourite desserts!
Same for me, Kate!
That apple crumb pie looks delicious! I agree that Christmas is about bringing the family together! I hope yours was great!
It was, thank you, Lori!
Love apple pie! This looks amazing!
Okay so that may be the coolest Apple Pie I have ever seen! I dont think I have ever had or even heard of a crumble pie topping made with oats or that looks like more of a granola type topping. But to be honest, that sounds awesome! Dont get me wrong, I like a normal pie topping but that just looks like a warm oatmeal, granola type of breakfast that would be perfect for sitting around on a cold night!
I might try it now for breakfast, Eric.
I love this dish too. Seems like a great snack while watching movies.
Yes, it is, Nikki!
I think this will go great with ice cream!!! Great snack for the holidays! Yum yum
Oh yum, this is totally my kind of dish right here!
Ooh yes Apple Crumb Cake is one of my most favorite desserts to eat throughout the year! You can NEVER go wrong with it and I always serve it with ice cream like you as well!
We love it the same here!

I hope you like it, Merveille!

apple crumble is probably my favorite kind of pie! I love it so much! Movie night is my favorite, I already had on in 2021
I can relate!
Movie night plus this snack. Man, I bet you did this many times this pandemic season. What a refreshing time indeed
Creating memories with the family is the best.
I have never made apple crumble pie before, will do that now. Thank you so much for explaining the recipe so simply.
You are welcome, Sudipta!
So delicious, Is there a nut-free alternative to the Walnuts or it’s OK to omit?
You can do it without adding nuts, Tania!
I like crumble pies and pastry. Extra crunchiness to the dessert.
Wow! This looks really delicious and perfect for a movie night. Will make sure to have all the ingredients available and try it this weekend. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Awesome, you will love it, Clarice!
Yuuuum! This looks AND sounds super delicious. I don’t have a lot of pies (as I find it easier to just grab a cupcake or cookie 🙊), but when I do, I love a good apple pie because they’re just so classic 😋
They are all good.
Apple crumble is SO GOOD! <3 And definitely a good snack for a movie night 🙂
